  The DNA Interest Group meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 2:00 to 3:45 PM. During Shelter at Home, the group will meet via Zoom. 
  

  The purpose of this group is to help you better understand how to use DNA in your family research. We explore various ways to use testing sites like AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, 23andMe, FamilyTreeDNA, and third-party DNA sites. We work collaboratively to interpret your DNA results and to help answer your DNA questions. There is no charge to attend, but membership in SMCGS is a requirement.   Does AI know more about your genealogy than you do?  NO.  But can it read handwritten documents faster than even the most experienced genealogist?  You bet!  Learn how this remarkable tool can allow you to access records you never thought possible.

  Maggie will use a combination of brick walls from her class, as well as a few others.  We'll be recruiting SMCGS members to submit their own brick walls starting in August, so watch our website!

  Margaret Melaney, MS, RRCP, CPFT, GE teaches an intermediat/advanced online class which meets every Monday.  Her genealogical focus is Medieval British records.
