🎤 Creative Hypothesis Development for Brick Walls, by Jan Joyce

  • 24 Oct 2020
  • 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Via Zoom

Presenter: Jan Joyce

We often develop one scenario, or hypothesis, that explains a difficult genealogical problem.  That working hypothesis often becomes the given explanation for us without exploration of further ideas.  In more complex genealogical challenges, it can be better to develop additional hypothesis early.  Expand your solution with creative hypothesis development.

This methodology will expose you to multiple techniques that will help you create new solutions that may break down your brick walls.  A case study is included.

Jan Joyce has researched her family since 1998.  Her research interests include methodology and family video sharing.  She enjoys writing and teaching genealogy, and has earned credentials as a Certified Genealogist and a Certified Genealogical Lecturer.

This meeting will be held remotely via the Zoom web conferencing system. Several days before the date of the meeting, a link to the Zoom meeting will be sent to SMCGS eNews subscribers (both members and non-members) and will also be posted in the Members Only section of this website.

Social hour 10-10:30 AM, via Zoom
