SMCGS now has a new website with many features that our old website lacked. Join Mike as he helps you discover new parts of the website, as well as old parts of the website that you may not have known were there.

On this tour of the new website, users will explore the nooks and crannies of the website and will learn how to use our searchable databases for their genealogy research. Members will learn how to log in, enter their profile information, and connect with other members who share their research interests.

Mike Davis, SMCGS Webmaster, managed the previous SMCGS website for several years and oversaw the development of the new SMCGS website. His previous roles at SMCGS include President and Vice President of Operations. During Mike’s nearly forty-year professional career, he was  a college physics professor, a computer scientist, and a software engineer. Since retiring in 2011, he has taken up genealogy as a hobby and has done volunteer IT work for non-profit organizations.

This meeting will be held remotely via the Zoom web conferencing system. The event is free and all are welcome; however, it will be necessary to register in advance, using this link or the link on the home page. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with information about joining the meeting.
